The Himalayan and Kashmir are medium sized cats, and the Himmies range from about 7-12 pounds while the Kashies range from 10-14 pounds. They are exotic cats, beautiful and sweet and quiet. She tends to act like a lap cat, and they don't like loud places at all. The Himalayan, like the Kashmir, have large, expressive eyes, and a very soft and pleasant voice.They need lots of love, playtime, and food everyday. These cats are rather unlikely to jump on high furniture and usualy perfer the couch or bed, and they never demand attention!
The Himalayan and Kashmire have anatomy like the Persian in alot of ways, and since, are prone to health problems mainly on their face. They may have difficulty breathing that would be because their nostrils are concealed,

Excessing tearing
Eye conditions like cherry eye, entropion and progressing retinal antrophy
Feline hyperesthia syndrome, which is a nercous system disorder
Polycystic kidney disease, which can be taken by genetic test
Seborrhea oleosa, which is a bad skin disorder that causes itchiness, redness and hair loss
A Himalayan's life span is 9-15 years, while a Kashmir's is much longer at 12-20 years.
Himalayan and Kashmir cats definitely need regular grooming, thye should be combed every day because of their coat, and bathed at least once a month for sure. Himmies are also prone to excessive tearing, so yhou may want to clean that up with a tissue to avoid staining.It's also important to brush their teeth, as this prevents periodontal disease. Lastly, himmies are strictly indoor only, or would be perferred that way. Thry wouldn't stand much of a chance against other cats, dogs, or coyotes.
Himmies and Kashies don't go very well with kids and dogs, if they're noisy, but they can be compassionate towards dogs and children if they don't chase them or cause them anxiety.
These Himmies and Kashmirs have large circular heads and round eyes, a short nose, small ears with rounded tips, and full cheeks. They ahve a thick neck and a short, muscular body. The tail is proportional to the length of their body. They have a very fine coat with point colors varying widely. Their body has a facial mask from their saimese origin.
Finally, the Kashmir differs from the Himalayan by it's coat coloring, for they lack their saimese-ish mask.
